Defense Alliance Member Third Wave Systems was the host for a two-hour event to discuss the state of innovation in the the national technology base; and DoD's access to it. The occasion centered around the visit by Mr. Jaymie Durnan, on behalf of the Pentagon. Mr. Durnan is the Senior Advisor to the Principal Deputy, Assistant Secretary of Defense (Research & Engineering). The discussion provided numerous insights into the opportunities and challenges the Pentagon faces to ensure the nation's warfighters can access disruptive technology solutions to maintain its superiority in conflicts.
Following the morning meeting, 3M hosted Mr. Durnan at its Innovation Center at 3M World Headquartes, in St. Paul, to highlight the company's unique approach to innovation.
