As ATK expands its market leadership position in sporting and security ammunition, accessories and firearms, the Vice President of Marketing will be responsible for strategic & operational leadership of the marketing organization - defining and executing consumer-driven growth strategies for key brands and for the portfolio overall. He/she will report directly to the President, ATK Sporting Group and will partner with the Vice President, Sales to translate brand plans into key account plans. He/she will also partner with the VP of Operations for the three business lanes on innovation agendas. This individual will be a responsible stakeholder in support of key strategic initiatives and business objectives.

Job Requirement

Responsibilities:
- Identify consumer and shopper insights
- Create consumer-driven category and brand strategies
- Drive innovation agenda in support of category and brand strategies
- Translate strategies into one-year brand (assortment/pricing/media) and key account (DSMP) plans
- Manage key third-party relationships (e.g., advertising agencies, sponsors)
- Identify key talent; develop marketing team
- Build supporting capabilities on an ongoing basis (e.g., digital/advocacy marketing)
- Create, define marketing processes going forward
- Define clear pull marketing strategy for four key brands and portfolio
- Build organization capable of executing on initial playbook
- Develop sharper brand strategies, longer-term portfolio growth vision
- Develop marketing capabilities (e.g. digital marketing, social media, advocacy marketing)

Position Requirements
- Bachelor's degree is required. MBA preferred
- 10-15 years consumer products marketing experience. 10+ years management level role in a major consumer packaged goods or consumer durables organization
- 10+ years experience managing a team of marketers, with responsibility for developing and mentoring employees
- Solid track record of:
- Category development
- Brand development and differentiation
- Demand creation
- Insight generation
- Delivery of financial, people, marketplace and brand KPIs
- Ability to build and substantially improve organization capabilities / processes
- Experience in developing agency relationships
- Experienced shooter / hunter preferred
